Week of Stress

So this week has been an interesting one for me. I am currently enrolled in an online master's program. It actually is going well, but since the first week expects a lot from you it does not work to be in another class. I am also enrolled in a class to work on finishing up my deficiencies for my teaching certificate. As I sit in this class all week I keep on thinking of all the things I need to do before I leave for Michigan on Sunday. So my wonderful friend Carolyn says to me on Monday, "Why don't you come up and carpool with me all week?" She is taking the class and that is where Dan is living since she is his aunt. So I went up there on Tuesday and let me tell you it made my life so much better. I stayed there until today and it was great. Everyday I would come home to my boyfriend and him waiting to spend some time with me. We quickly set some ground rules that I had to do some homework before we could actually spend quality time together. He would play video games and I would do either homework for either class. It worked well and Carolyn helped me with some of the big stuff for this week long class. Then Dan would cook dinner and it was great. He is an excellent cook and I can not see why he does not cook or become a professional cook. So it was great having time with him since I am leaving on Sunday and I think he really enjoys me being around even though he won't tell me that. But I could totally see how great life could be, teach all day and come home to a man who cooks for you! That would be the perfect dream for me!

I also got to see one of my students the other day. It was great and it was so nice to get a running hug from her. I miss my Savanna a lot and we are going to spend time together after we both are done traveling. I promise to have pictures next time.

My Top 5

5. Spending time with friends. Ever since I moved out here it has been hard to make some good friends, but I have been lucky. Working at the school has allowed me to make many friends. I have enjoyed them all lately. Going to Phoenix and spending time with Steph and Carolyn, going to St. George or even Mesquite with Jeri, and my wonderful phone calls with Erika. I value you all! Thanks for being there.

4. Having someone cook you dinner. The other day I went to see Dan, my boyfriend, and he said he was going to cook for me. Let's just say he knows what he is doing when it comes to the kitchen. He does a wonderful job and man I was greatly impressed and not just because he is my boyfriend. It was a fun day and a fun evening.

3. My grandpa's sense of humor. The last few months, well basically year, has been really tough on my family, more my grandpa. He has kept such an upbeat sense of life right now. Different things that the doctor has told him lately or even stuff on t.v., he finds a way to make us laugh about it and it is great. He just has been able to keep a smile on my face lately.

2. Finally making the plans. I have finally finalized everything to go home on the 29th of this month. I am really getting excited to go and I can't wait. Now if I could get the company to answer so I could get cruise, that would help loads and loads.

1. One week of being together. Just so everyone knows, it is going well!! We are having fun getting to know each other and spending time together. I am also helping him find a job, so if you know of any place, let me know.

Gas Prices

I have never not worked in the summer. So I decided to not work this summer and besides being bored at time, I am loving it. I guess the best part is because I now have a boyfriend. It helps to have someone to do things with, but I believe the price of gas could kill a relationship. I mean right now he is looking for a job and I am trying to save or get a head on certain things right now. But seriously instead of seeing each other every night or day, we go like two days and then take time away for like four days. He wants to take some of the gas burden off of me, but I told him not to worry because there is not anything to do in Beaver Dam. So I am going to have to go to St. George all the time but whatever he pays for things while I am there. It kind of helps then. So President Bush or whoever takes care of the gas prices and you are reading this, PLEASE LOWER THEM! YOU ARE GOING TO KILL MY RELATIONSHIP!

My Week

Last friday I left Beaver Dam and headed for Tempe Arizona. This was my first time driving a long distance and doing it on my own. So my cds, a map, and water headed on out. I did well getting there. Took some pictures of some catcui that only grow in Arizona as I drove and even took pictures of the Hoover Dam as I went over it. It was cool to see all the progress on the new over pass they are buliding. Well when I hit Tempe or Phoenix, I decided to head to where I had to take a test in the morning. The tests that I had to take, are in order for me to keep my job next year. So as I headed there I had a bit of a near accident happen. Out of nowhere this guy came and some stuff happened and basically I got the finger. Good thing that I have a new car, good brakes and a good friend to talk to afterwards about it. I was pretty shuck up with what happened, that I got off early and called Jeri. She is a good friend and a big help. But after that life was good. The hotel I stayed in was close to where I stayed last summer. So that helped big time.

On Saturday, I took the test and that was a load of my chest. Then I headed to Scottsdale on Sunday. I spend the day shopping and loving it. I went and saw Sex and the City. It was great and it was sold out. I spend loads of money but it was great.

On Monday and Tuesday, I spend the days at a great resort for a reading first conference. It was great and I learned loads and loads. Those of you that are going this next week will enjoy it. I learned a lot and I was glad I went.

Well Wednesday was spend traveling and then meeting my friend Carolyn's nephew. He is really nice and we are dating now. We also watched Jerin cheer at a game. So I will have pictures up of everything tomorrow. Hope all is having fun and enjoying their summer!

So I will have pictures up by the end of the week along with stories to tell.

This Week's Top 5

This week has been full of doing nothing, but surprises a long the way too. So I guess I will start with my number 5 and get on down to number 1.

5. Being able to sleep in until whenever. I am so use to getting up at 6 and taking my time to get dressed and then getting to school by at least 7:15, but now that school is out I don't have to get dressed or get up early. I pretty much lay around and do what I want until about 11 and then I get going.

4. Spending time being made HOT! On Wednesday I went and had my hair cut and colored. It was so nice to go and do that. When I walked out I felt like a new women and looking at the pictures makes me realize how good looking I am. LOL!!! I also liked hearing all the good things about my hair and how nice a friend of mine is.

3. Going to the arcade. On Friday I decided to take my friend Jeri's girls out and go to the arcade. We had loads of fun at the arcade and then had a big surprise when we headed for the library. I thought my tire looked flat when we left the aracade, but I was not to sure.

2. Getting my tire fixed. So to continue from number 3, we got the library and Miranda kept asking me if my car was hissing. I could not hear it since I had a four year old whining as I was trying to get her out of the car. So I went and looked and sure enough. So I was going to call my friend Daniel to have him help me out or give me an idea of who to go see, when I took it into my own hands and went to Big O. As we sat and waited the girls and I made wagers as to how much it was going to cost. When the guy was finished I asked him and he said they would tell me inside. Just as I went to go in, he came out and let me know that I was good to go. He was kind of cute and the girls were like he likes you and he thinks you are cute. I have been told my a friend to go and follow up on that. LOL!

1. Going shopping with Jeri. Jeri and I kind of have this thing if one goes into Mesquite we always ask the other, so that is what we did yesterday. We went over to Wal-Mart and someone we were hiding from was there, so we kept hiding down the aisles. After we left I got a few text messages and her daughter was so cute. She kept saying,"Aaawwww Mommy say got a text message!" You would have to hear her say it. It was so cute the way she kept saying it.

Well this week brings some adventures at school and then Friday I am off to Phoenix all by myself for about a week. So everyone look forward to some pictures.
