Crying

The point of this blog is to say that I did a lot of crying on Friday. I could not believe how much my wonderful students mean to me. I had one student not show up, but he came after school was out and gave me a big hug. He is not one to do that, so I was so touched and of course got choked up.

Here is my class and my wonderful student sleeping! I love these kids and I can't wait to see them in August again.

Fantastic Friday!!

So last night was the school board meeting and for some reason I had thought about going. I don't normally go, but I had thought about it. Instead I went to spin class. I had the energy and decided I wanted to go spin instead. So this morning I did not feel the greatest because I had a monster headache and my neck was killing me. But I got out of bed and went to school. Every morning we start school with school square and since our principal is out with his wife. They had a new baby yesterday! I was a little late walking out but I started to hurry because I saw our superintendent there. I knew it could be important. Well we went through the normal routine and then Mr. Frei came up and gave out student of the month awards to those who could not be at the meeting last night. Then he said that he forgot to tell the person who was to recieve Employee of the Month last night. He went on to explain that this person would get a $100.00 gift certificate to anywhere they want to use it. Then he said that this month's employee of the month is Miss Stauber. I was so nervous and excited. I wanted to cry. I could not believe it. I always hear how much they value me and how well of a job they think I do, but this really hit the spot. This made me realize how much I am valued. I was super excited. My kids were all hugging me and telling me "Good job, Miss Stauber!" All day I was on a high. I called my mom and started to cry about it. I could not believe it.

I just want to say thank you to all my students and my wonderful principal and wonderful superintendent. Also the great people I work with everyday.
